KEY VERSE IN TWO TRANSLATIONS:
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Proverbs 29:18 (MSG) If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

From Rev01ution to Renewal
Sunday Sep 04, 2016
Sunday Sep 04, 2016
KEY VERSES:
Luke 15:32 (NLT) We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!
BIG IDEA: We’re on a journey with Jesus to FIND and to WELCOME people who are far from CHURCH or far from GOD.
THINK ABOUT IT:
- Which of Jesus’ examples can you most relate to: the stray sheep, the neglected coin, the rebellious son, or the indignant brother?
- Is there anyone who you secretly hope gets what’s coming to them, rather than praying that they would experience God’s love and mercy?
- Write a one-sentence prayer thanking God for how He brought you into His presence.
- Write a one-sentence prayer asking God to renew your compassion for a specific person who has yet to experience His revolutionary love.

A House for God to Live In?
Sunday Aug 28, 2016
Sunday Aug 28, 2016
KEY VERSES:
1 Kings 8:27 (NLT) “But will God really live on earth? Why, even the highest heavens cannot contain you. How much less this Temple I have built!”
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NLT) Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
BIG IDEA: While a building cannot CONTAIN GOD, it can HONOR GOD and become a gathering place where people open their hearts to GOD’S PRESENCE.
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:
- MISSIONAL EFFECTIVENESS. How important is a building to the people we are trying to reach?
- MOMENTUM. How would a building help to relieve and re-energize volunteer staff? What new work would a building create?
- GENERATIONAL IMPACT. How could a building advance the Gospel beyond ourselves?
- FIT. What would a building look like that would advance God’s vision for this community, rather than distracting from it?
- INVESTMENT. How much money, time and prayer are you willing to invest into a building that advances God’s vision for this community?
- HONOR. Would this move at this time be honoring to God?

Base Camp: About the Bible
Sunday Aug 21, 2016
Sunday Aug 21, 2016
KEY TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT) All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
BIG IDEA: How do disciples handle the Bible? They TAKE IT IN, and they LIVE IT OUT.

About the Bible
The Bible is God’s word to all people. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error in the original manuscripts.

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. Empty Me
Sunday Aug 07, 2016
Sunday Aug 07, 2016
2 Kings 4:1-7
You have more than you think when you offer the little that you have
1. Verbalize your needs - 1 Kings 18:4, Psalm 34:17, 2 Timothy 2:19
2. Admit your emptiness
3. Use what you have - John 12:3-5, Matthew 5:15, Ezekiel 16:13, Psalm 23:5, Isaiah 1:6, Exodus 25:6, 1 Samuel 16:13, Matthew 26:12, Jeremiah 31:12, Isaiah 61:3, Acts 10:38, John 6:9-11, Judges 15:15
4. Obey what you hear - Joshua 6:3-5
5. Get alone with God - Psalm 46:10
6. Make room for blessings - Matthew 9:29
7. Give what God has given you - Proverbs 22:7, 1 Kings 3:13, Ephesians 3:20, Luke 6:38, Malachi 3:10
The key is not the container but whether or not Christ the treasure is inside! Some of us have filled ourselves so full of stuff and sin and self that there’s not room for Him.
It’s time to empty ourselves.
- What do you need to get rid of?
- Do you feel empty, spiritually stalled, used up and lost?
- Are you empty enough to be used by God or have you been filling yourself up with stuff that doesn’t satisfy anyway?
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power
Belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7

Base Camp: About Salvation
Sunday Jul 31, 2016
Sunday Jul 31, 2016
From New Day’s Statement of Faith
About Salvation: Salvation is a GIFT from God to mankind. People can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or GOOD WORKS. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can an individual be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his or her life by FAITH.
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
Romans 6:23 (NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free GIFT of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) 8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the GOOD THINGS we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
John 14:6 (NLT) Jesus told him, “I am THE WAY, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

NOTE: There was an issue with the audio during the Sunday morning service. The quality of the message changes around the 14 minute mark.
Philippians 3:20 (NLT) But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.
Colossians 1:15-16 (NLT) 15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
From New Day’s Statement of Faith
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Base Camp: About Eternity
Sunday Jul 17, 2016
Sunday Jul 17, 2016
Colossians 3:1-3 (NLT) 1 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. 3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
From New Day’s Statement of Faith
About Eternity: People were created to exist forever. Individuals will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; 1 John 5:11-12; Matthew 25:31-46
