In the book of Acts we see that people became so infected with the Holy Spirit that they were contagious, and God’s unstoppable redemption became a pandemic. How are we part of that movement today? The last part of this series will challenge us to think beyond our own zip code. (Message originally recorded 11-22-2009)

There is a lot of talk right now about the spread of infection. But bad stuff isn’t the only stuff that spreads. In the book of Acts we see that people became so infected with the Holy Spirit that they were contagious, and God’s unstoppable redemption became a pandemic. How contagious are we today? Part 2 of the Viral series challenges us to resist quarantine and inoculation. Christianity was never designed to be safe. This message was delivered by special guest Pastor Kevin Rector. "What's it to you?" That’s a phrase that we don’t like to hear. It implies that we are sticking our noses where they don’t belong. Yet we find that Jesus used that kind of rebuke with one of his closest followers. Even after spending three years with Jesus, His disciples had a lot to learn. In this message, we conclude the Flawed series in the last chapter of John’s Gospel. Flawed—a seismic shift in how we think of ourselves, others, and God. (Originally recorded 11-01-2009)

In this message, we’ll look at some practical questions about the Bible, and delve into what the answers mean to us today. Why does the genealogy in Luke 3 differ significantly from the genealogy in Matthew 1? If Jesus was God’s Son (not blood relation to Joseph), what does it matter that Joseph was a descendant of David? Flawed—a seismic shift in how we think of ourselves, others, and God. The Message is the Good News about the Kingdom of God. The Mission is to bring that message to all nations, all “people groups.” The Motive is to usher in God’s restoration of all things. That’s the big picture that Jesus talked about in Matthew 24:14 (NLT) And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. So what did Jesus mean when he said, “…the end will come”? Listen to the final chapter of the series, "Mission from God". (Originally recorded 10-04-2009)

Sunday Sep 20, 2009
Sunday Sep 20, 2009
We read in the New Testament of the Bible that followers of Jesus spread “the Good News of the Kingdom of God.” What were they saying exactly? And how long are we supposed to keep saying the Kingdom of God is coming before it actually comes? This week's message is all about the profile of the Kingdom. In the next part, we’ll focus in on the mission objective. And in part three, we’ll learn how to know when the mission is accomplished.(Message originally recorded 09-20-2009)
