A Redemptive Community

Confession, forgiveness and restoration are not values we normally encounter.  It is much more common to see bitterness, jealousy and gossip.  What would it look like if the church operated with God's plan in mind?  This week, we get a clearer vision of what Jesus had in mind for His church.

Why is it so easy to spread gossip, but so hard to spread the Gospel? Gossip kills churches. It kills trust. It kills relationships. Let’s get serious about defining, recognizing and eliminating this deadly disease.

The mission of Christ is to bring reconciliation.  However, it often seems that the goal of us as humans is to tear one another down.  This series will explore why we have conflict and how to handle it, why gossip is so juicy, and what can happen in a community when churches are working together for a common goal instead of against one another.

Anger

What makes us really angry?  Why do those things bother us so much?  Jesus got angry, but He got angry at the right things.  Getting angry about the right things encourages constructive action.  Getting angry about the wrong things pushes us away from people and away from God.  This message reminds us about picking the right fights.

How Good is Good Enough

We can't earn our way to heaven.  It's only through God's grace that we can have a home there for eternity.  This week's message, How Good is Good Enough, explores some of the misconceptions about faith in God as well as reminds us that God loved us so much that he sent His son to save us!  Listen in to find out more about how to accept that salvation.

Work and Rest

It’s time to re-examine the question “What are you going to be when you grow up?”  The truth is that our identity is not in our job, but in our relationship with God.  Work is a gift from God, and rest is a gift from God.  But too often we find ourselves living in the extremes of workaholism or laziness.  Maybe it’s because we removed God from our work and rest, and we’ve forgotten that Everything is Spiritual.

I Am Roxanne

Prostitution is an illustration God often uses in the minor prophets to help His people understand their condition.  When they are unfaithful to God, they are like a wife slepping in another man's bed for money.  God even instucted Hosea to marry a woman who would be unfaithful so he could explain to the people how God felt about their sin.  This week's service features a minor drama with music to illustrate the matter of faithfulness in our lives today.

What's With the Bunny?
